Nehlsen-BWB reaches a new level 17.03.2011
Nehlsen-BWB Flugzeug-Galvanik (aircraft plating) Dresden GmbH & Co KG has reached a new quality standard level in the field of special surface treatments for aerospace technology. Our new certification system is called NADCAP with the following meaning beyond: National Aerospace and Defence Contractors Accreditation Program. Since all big airline companies, which Airbus and Boeing undoubtedly belong to, fall back on ever greater supplier networks, NADCAP has been established to standardize special processes for all suppliers involved. NADCAP will guarantee a consistent process operating both technically and technologically to the customer’s full satisfaction. This is confirmed by an external audit team.
The special NADCAP processes include heat treatments, verification processes and chemical procedures as offered by the Nehlsen-BWB in Dresden. Our aerospace system was certificated as per DIN EN ISO 9001 in 2001 and as per EN9100 in 2005. Nehlsen-BWB finally obtained NADCAP certification successfully on 12.28.2010 in the field of "Chemical Processing" with only one deviation at the first attempt. Nehlsen-BWB is therefore one of the first German surface technology companies, which dealt efficiently with NADCAP and strengthened its position as a major service provider for aviation industry. This willingness to further growth in the aerospace industry, an important segment of the BWB Group, is also reflected in the
investment in a new line with the tartaric-sulphuric-acid anodising (TSA), following the standard chromic acid anodizing process. TSA expands the general production spectrum of Nehlsen-BWB and is additionally supplemented by the penetrant testing of aluminium parts for cracks and the coating with solvent-reduced paint systems.
This shows our customers clearly that the company is on a sound and forward-looking way and continues with profound knowledge and well-known flexibility to further operate to the customer base and new customer groups satisfaction.
We offer a wide range of surface technology solutions, so feel free to contact us for further questions.
