Aircraft manufacturers depend on a reliable supply chain to ensure aviation safety. A worldwide accreditation programme has established itself in the form of Nadcap, which defines, assesses and certifies industry-wide standards. BWB has once again passed this demanding certification process with flying colours in Switzerland, Germany and Romania, demonstrating the highest level of aviation expertise.
"Around 250 orders from Airbus suppliers and other customers, such as Pilatus and Bombardier, are processed every day", says managing director Eckehard Thuss, describing the activities at the BWB factory in Dresden.
Switching to new, eco-friendly methods poses another challenge for the aerospace industry. BWB offers a sustainable alternative to cadmium coatings in the form of zinc-nickel coatings. Using phosphoric sulfuric acid (PSA) anodising, it also provides a chromium-free coating process as a primer for adhesion and bonding-primer applications.
