The municipality of Bonaduz is located on a plateau above the confluence of the Vorderrhein and Hinterrhein rivers. The new duplex looks out over the spectacular alpine landscape surrounding the valley floor.
It is accessed via a little village street. A wall made of pale exposed concrete contrasts starkly with the aluminium façade, which is finished in the dark anodised shade of Permagrey. The metal façade, which is largely closed off from the street, creates a high degree of privacy.
But its austerity is broken as it opens out onto the alpine scenery, with large windows and a multi-level loggia bringing the impressive surroundings into the building.
