Hard anodising of aluminium (also known as hard-coat anodising) creates extremely durable, non-corrosive protective coatings with excellent sliding properties that can be further improved through PTFE impregnation. Hard anodising can be used for materials exposed to extreme wear and tear, such as in mechanical engineering or aerospace.

Hard anodisation (GSX)
In addition to outstanding resistance to wear and corrosion, the ceramic hard-anodised coatings also offer excellent electrical insulation. Extra blackening can visually enhance visible sections, while PTFE impregnation can further optimise sliding properties.

Hard ematal is used when friction from mechanical contact (e.g. friction bearings), flow (e.g. valve housing and jets for gases or liquids) or a combination of the two (in pneumatics and hydraulics) needs to be minimised. (learn more)
