New Altenrhein building with anodized Permalux façade

The new logistics center at the Altenrhein site has created the conditions for efficient goods receipt and goods issue and has expanded the existing building complex in a targeted manner. The new building is a functional addition to the existing building and an integral part of a holistic site concept.
The façade design with the Permalux process gives the building an independent architectural identity and underlines the demand for quality, durability and design precision.
The new building is an example of how logistical functionality and architectural design can be combined to create sustainable added value for the company and the site.

Initial situation and objectives

The Altenrhein site has continued to develop in recent years, placing increasing demands on internal logistics processes. There was a need for clearly structured, efficient areas, particularly in the area of goods receiving and goods issuing, which would support operational processes and at the same time take future developments into account.
The aim of the new building was to bundle the logistics functions spatially, optimize processes and organize the interfaces to the existing building in a sensible way. In addition to functional aspects, the requirement for a high-quality architectural solution also played a central role. The new building was to blend in naturally with the existing building and at the same time make an independent contribution to the overall impact of the site.
This starting point resulted in a logistics building that combines operational efficiency, clear processes and architectural quality and strengthens the Altenrhein site in the long term.
