The municipality of Unterägeri was faced with the challenge of replacing a gymnasium built in the 1950s and at the same time creating new primary school rooms without affecting the outdoor spaces on the school grounds. The realized project of the architectural office Archetage convinces with a three-storey school building wing in timber construction, which was built on top of the new gymnasium.
An aluminium facade in the timeless anodised shades Colinal and Permalux provides the wooden structure with lasting protection against the elements. Large windows and a semi-transparent slat structure also provide plenty of light in the interior and a playful appearance.
