Tour and Preparation of Workpieces
The tour through the production halls of BWB-Betschart AG in Oberdorf NW offered fascinating insights into a modern anodising facility. The guests assisted in the production area and prepared components made of various aluminium alloys for surface treatment. Some processes were then tested directly on site, and the parts were sampled – including anodising and the subsequent red colouring of cast aluminium plates. In addition, rolled plates, sheet metal, angle, bar and tube profiles were anodised clear.
"The open exchange with BWB’s experts demonstrated the expertise and passion invested in every stage of the process. This transparency strengthens trust and makes us look forward to further joint projects," concluded Thomas Streiff, responsible for business development and sales processes at Allega GmbH.
At midday, BWB-Betschart AG hosted lunch in its canteen – prepared deliciously by Rosa, our experienced colleague from the masking department. Lunch offered an excellent opportunity to share impressions from the morning and get to know each other better.
Inspection of Anodised Samples and Exchange of Experiences
In the afternoon, the sampled components were inspected and evaluated together. To conclude the event, experiences from day-to-day work were shared and discussed. Both companies gained valuable insights during this exchange.
"The workshop opens new doors – for Allega, for us and in the future for other partners in the supply chain," summarised Mladen Bilic from the sales team at BWB-Betschart AG.
