Automated cleaning for maximum process reliability
The new cleaning system in La Chaux-de-Fonds represents a significant step forward: It enables the simultaneous treatment of up to six solder baskets, whether for cleaning after incoming goods or after a complex process such as soldering. Thanks to its intelligent control system, each cycle is precisely defined, the parameters remain constant and the results are fully documented.
"We were looking for a solution that was not only faster, but above all more stable and transparent. The new system offers us exactly that - reproducible cleaning with consistent quality, regardless of batch size or design complexity," says Jennifer Nau, Operations Manager in La Chaux-de-Fonds.
Automation not only contributes to process stability, but also to optimizing the use of resources. The electroplating team can now concentrate on the essentials: process monitoring, quality control and order processing.
"Before the new cleaning system, these steps were carried out manually. Today, the system monitors the parameters independently - and we focus fully on precision, quality and on-time processes," adds Jennifer Nau.
Cleaning as the key to top quality
Cleaning the components is not just a necessary intermediate step, but a decisive factor for the quality of the end product. It is part of the comprehensive range of services offered by the La Chaux-de-Fonds site. The high requirements of the watch industry and medical technology are thus reliably met.
"Perfect cleaning is much more than just cleanliness - it is the basis for the end product to develop its full potential. Especially with medical technology components and delicate watch parts, it determines the precision, functionality and trust of our customers," Jennifer Nau continues.
Traceability according to ISO 13485
When planning the new system, particular attention was paid to batch traceability - a key element in meeting the requirements of ISO 13485 certification. Every cleaning process is recorded electronically, ensuring complete documentation for each component from receipt of goods to the end product.
"Absolute transparency is essential in medical technology. With the cleaning system, we can clearly document every process step - this creates trust with our customers and safety in production," emphasizes Jennifer Nau.
