Back in 2005, BWB set up a specialized production line for Ematal in Schlieren – equipped with a fully automated system that set new standards in productivity and process reliability. In order to meet the increasing demands of industry, mechanical engineering and drive technology, production capacity was expanded last year with a third coating bath.
Ematal is characterized by a hard, compact and temperature-resistant layer structure. These properties ensure:
- Excellent sliding and wear properties
- High corrosion resistance
- Electrical insulation
- Dimensional accuracy and reproducible quality
Ematal has thus established itself particularly in applications in which components are subjected to permanent loads and must function precisely at the same time – for example in linear and guide applications, valve technology or in mechanical and plant engineering.
PFAS-free – A sustainable alternative
Ematal offers a functional alternative to PTFE or Teflon coatings when low coefficients of friction, long service life and predictable surface properties are required – without the use of polymer additives.
BWB now also offers the lubricating film (PTFE-free), which can be used to further improve the sliding properties of Ematal.
