Corrosion protection, adhesion, weight and complete traceability are decisive factors, especially for aluminum components in the aerospace industry. SurTec 650 passivation reliably meets these requirements and is designed for demanding aerospace applications.
The advantages at a glance
- Maximum corrosion protection in demanding aerospace applications
- Optimum adhesive base for adhesive coating or paint primer
- Complete traceability along the entire supply chain
SurTec 650 passivated aluminum components are also used in the interior fittings of aircraft cabins. For these thin-walled profiles and precisely manufactured lightweight elements, the adhesive bonding of the surface plays a key role in addition to corrosion protection. The process offers an ideal adhesive base for a wide range of applications and guarantees a permanently secure bond - even under the specific stresses of aviation.
"The result confirms the process stability and long-term quality capability of our range of small parts for aerospace applications," explains Igor Miller, Project Manager for Technology & Quality at BWB-Altenrhein AG
The recertification - SurTec 650 for Aerospace
The SurTec 650 process was successfully tested and requalified at the Altenrhein site in accordance with the Applicator Qualification Process (AQP).
