Anodized art by Flora Mottini

Watercolour painting with anodised surface

The panels are industrially anodised before Flora Mottini applies the pre-sketched watercolours with the corresponding colour pigments in virtuoso handwork. The colours penetrate the surface to varying depths, after which the anodising process is completed by sealing the surface.

The paintings with their impressive depth effect are part of the art installation meanspace, which was shown at the Helmhaus in Zurich from April 22 to June 20, 2021.
