Minimalist design as a distinguishing feature

Leading innovations, perfect technology, compact design, ease of use and, above all, top quality are the requirements for automation solutions from Jenny Science AG. The family-run company from Rain in Lucerne has the components of its linear and hollow shaft motors finished at BWB in Grosshöchstetten.

A high-quality and absolutely flawless surface corresponds to the credo of Lucerne-based Jenny Science AG for the production of uncompromisingly high-quality precision drives. “We strive for bold and authentic solutions with partners who understand and are committed to implementing our plans. A smooth supply chain with short decision-making paths is a key success factor for Jenny Science AG,” explains Managing Director André Jenny.

Blasting for an even and homogeneous coating result

After the incoming goods inspection at BWB in Grosshöchstetten, the delivered slides and compact monoblocks are first blasted. This step ensures minimal signs of abrasion and an even and haptically appealing aluminum surface.

“We remain uncompromising in the development and implementation of our products: in everything we do, we focus on top quality and identification with our values,” emphasizes brother and Co-Managing Director Ramon Jenny.

Anodising for perfect surface protection

All components of the Jenny linear actuators reflect the high quality requirements of the Swiss manufacturer. In endurance tests, the linear motor carriages from Jenny Science AG achieve over 350 million cycles under maximum load and highest dynamics without relubrication or maintenance. In demanding applications, anodised aluminium remains corrosion-protected and durable.

Colour anodised minimalist design

The surfaces of the aluminium components are anodised in natural, black or the company’s own copper colour, depending on the assembly group. The modular linear motion solutions remain unmistakable, appear elegant, precise and timeless.

What is a linear motor?

A linear motor is an electric motor that operates along a straight line. It generates a linear movement by converting electrical energy into mechanical movement without rotating parts as is the case with conventional motors. This is achieved through the interaction of magnetic fields and electric current.

Who is Jenny Science AG?

Jenny Science AG, a globally active family business, is a leading manufacturer of components for industrial automation. Based in Rain, Lucerne, the company offers outstanding solutions for linear motion. A team of 65 specialists develops and manufactures compact linear motor axes, hollow shaft motors and web-based servo controllers. With a focus on compact precision drives, Jenny Science AG has been supporting a wide range of applications in mechanical engineering and medical technology for over 20 years.

"Our employees are the experts in their field and the future of the company. Our promise of quality also applies within the company: we listen, remain honest, recognize solutions and try out suggestions. The in-house daycare center or the balanced lunch menu with our own chef are just as much a part of this as the bright and spacious offices and production rooms," adds Co-Managing Director André Jenny.

Since the end of 2022, the four Jenny brothers have been managing the company in the second generation. Their different backgrounds intertwine in an interdisciplinary way and enrich the company. The promise of quality is clearly in focus and is vehemently defended internally in sometimes intensive discussions. On the other hand, the quartet offers employees a great deal of freedom in decision-making, flat hierarchies and honest cooperation.
