The SpiceColumn impresses with its shape, which is reminiscent of a high-rise building or an architectural column. This design reflects the reference to architecture – an area in which BWB Surface Technology shapes the external appearance of numerous buildings with its wide range of colors and processes. Precise CNC machining and a high-quality surface coating underline the high demands of our industrial customers.
The bronze color of the grinder is thanks to the Ematal coating. This food-safe surface is characterized by its special resistance and gliding properties, which means that the grinder does not require additional bearings. The SpiceColumn consists of two housing parts and a cap – all components are manufactured in Switzerland from high-quality solid aluminum alloy EN AW-6082. The first-class grinding mechanism from RAFZ guarantees a long service life.
PFAS-free – A sustainable alternative
The sliding properties of hard anodized surfaces are often improved by impregnating them with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). However, PTFE belongs to the group of per- and polyfluorinated alkyl compounds (PFAS), the use of which is being increasingly regulated due to their environmental and health risks. The Ematal coating, on the other hand, naturally offers excellent anti-friction and anti-wear properties, without any PTFE impregnation. This makes it an environmentally friendly solution that meets current and future requirements for sustainable products.
