Surface finishing for high-end electric motorcycle

As part of his latest custom creation, the KING CURRENT electric motorcycle, Bruno Forcella from Sine Cycle commissioned BWB to refine a key component: the gearwheel for the drive system. Hard anodizing offers the optimum solution for this. The process produces a much harder and denser surface than is the case with conventional anodized coatings.

Developer, designer and constructor Forcella sees each of his motorcycles as a harmonious interplay of design, functionality and sustainability. This individual cogwheel also symbolizes his holistic approach. As with the entire vehicle concept, the surface treatment of the BWB helps to combine technical performance, aesthetic lines and durability at the highest level.

The gear wheel was refined at BWB in a multi-stage process:

  • BLASTING for optimum surface preparation
  • HARD ANODISING to create a high-strength and corrosion-resistant protective layer
  • COLOUR ANODISING in black for a uniform, aesthetically pleasing finish

Different. Electric. Genuine.

The KING CURRENT is a completely handcrafted one-off with road approval. In addition to technical highlights such as a specially developed rear wheel suspension and a range of 100 kilometers, the motorcycle impresses with an uncompromising design concept in which every detail has been thought through and specially manufactured - from the frame to the fiberglass cover.

Numerous other components of both NUMBER ONE and KING CURRENT electric motorcycles from Sine Cycle have already been finished with the help of BWB Surface Technology. And we are delighted to be able to accompany Bruno on this journey with our surface solutions.

"My goal is to create a unique electric custom bike that retains the aesthetics of my first NUMBER ONE motorcycle, but with improved performance, optimized rear suspension, greater range and even more in-house developed components," explains Bruno Forcella in the article from The Pack News
