Job description
Without knowing it, everyone comes into contact with galvanically treated surfaces on a daily basis. From spectacle frames to circuit boards and connectors in coffee machines, from chrome-plated taps to galvanized elements in cars.
As a surface coater, you will finish workpieces, components and structures with specific coatings. You give them design, protection, conductivity, hardness or insulation. The work is as varied as the coatings you work with.
Chroming, gold-plating and galvanizing objects will be just as much a part of your everyday life as dealing with chemical processes and effects. Surface coaters help to use the earth’s raw materials more sparingly and thus in a more environmentally conscious way. Through them, valuable raw materials are used specifically where they are really needed.
